About Made in Wanstead

I’m Michael, a Wanstead resident originally from France. I love London, and especially this neighbourhood I call home.

I started Made in Wanstead because I was looking for thoughtful, reliable local news: somewhere to understand what was happening nearby and discover the people behind the places I love. I couldn’t find anything that quite matched what I was looking for, so I decided to create it myself.

My aim is to cover Wanstead’s news and shine a light on the makers, creatives, independent businesses and neighbours who make it such a distinctive part of London.

Through Made in Wanstead, I want to share that curiosity and affection for the neighbourhood, and help others feel more connected to the place we call home.
